Ferries

Ferries are, definitely, the best transportation system to travel around Greece. Especially if your are only interested in the Greek Islands. I’ll suggest you to take, as far as possible, the regular ferries rather than the high-speed boats (in the picture), or Flying Dolphins, as they are named.

Ferries are twice as cheap, twice as funny, and yes, twice as slow as the other boats. But still, the incredible views is worth it!!

Buses

Buses are not a very convenient transport in Greece. You’ll find the first problem just on the Bus Station. Destinations are written in greek alphabet, which is not that trivial to read (not for my, at least). So it will be better to memorize the greek spelling of the place that you want to go.
