That omnipresent light!! Many months have passed since I was dazzled by the sun over Greece, and I still cannot forget the intensity of its colors. So that’s probably the terrible thing about traveling to the land once inhabited by the Gods: From time to time you are visited by the images that you saw there; In those moments, I cannot help but wonder why the blue is not so blue here, and why the white looked so pure there.
But Athens is different to the rest of Greece. After holding the weight of 3000 years of history, there’s little left of what once was the most important of the Hellenic cities-states, thought what is left… Well, the echoes of Socrates, Plato or Aristotle can still be heard at the Acropolis.
But then again, Athens is more than a collection of archaeological monuments. This city is, in every aspect, furiously alive; that could be a Pro or a Con. Your choice!

Those are the best photos of all--the ones that are stored perfectly in memory, the ones nothing can ever steal, and time cannot fade. There is no camera to rival the perfection of memory...thanks for reminding me.
