Dublin had an interesting effect over me during my first (and definitely not last) visit. After a couple of hours of walking over the touristy areas, I get terribly bored. All those cathedrals, parks and castles didn't impress me nor amazed me, so you can say I was kind of disappointed.
So I rested for a while surrounded by the tranquility of St. Stephens Green, trying to decide witch of Dublin's hundreds of pubs will become my starting point for the Guinness immersion, when I paid attention to the people. Their easy smile and spontaneity really deserved to be explored. |
| | Paddy's day! Lucky me I did it! Thanks to that, I can say I had the time of my life in Dublin, and I could really enjoy the fabulous Irish music, the scents of the city and the lovely taste of a good pint of Guinness.
Even the weather was benign during those days, so I even was able to been part of St. Patrick's Day parade. Yes, I'd just said been part, as I manage to walk along Dublin bustling streets during the parade covered up as a photographer ;-) |

These include Malahide, Howth and Killiney. regards SK | ForestqueenNYC Thu Jul 28, 2005 18:50 UTC Alfredo, you have done a very good Dublin page. I, too, loved St. Stephen's Green. I found the people in Dublin to be very friendly and polite. I hope to go back. | Italiana07 Wed Jul 14, 2004 08:02 UTC Hi Alfredo!
