Carpe Diem: Fashion cocktails

A nice bar in the middle of Puerto de la Cruz!! At first, we didn’t trust our eyes, so our only option was to rely on our taste: a large and excellent selection of cocktails, reasonable prices, great view from the balcony, friendly staff... Totally out of place among the karaoke bars, the grill houses, the pizzerias, the horrendous neon lights that configured Puerto de La Cruz night life.

Dress Code: Pretty open.

Abaco Museum House: Abaco

Abaco is, imho, a very neat idea; and as it often happens with neat ideas, it is also a quite simple one. You simply had to reform an old colonial mansion, and serve expensive fashion drinks to the people that will undoubtedly come there, attracted to the extremely romantic environment. Simple, yet effective. :-) The same idea has been working in Palma de Mallorca for years: Classical Music, dim lights, fresh fruit in the floor (yes, you have read correctly, fruit in the floor). An absolute must while in Tenerife... unless your idea of night life begins and finish with a British pub, of course. ;-)

Dress Code: According to the elegant environment, classy should be the norm here, though Spanish dress codes are generally quite open. Just remember not to show up there wearing your beach flip-flops. :-p
