Rome is huge, beautiful, chaotic, romantic, magnificent, noisy, monumental. In a word, Rome is alive, and it has been alive for the past 3000 years. This means that Rome as a city, has been invented and reinvented since then continuously, constructing churches and palazzos and piazzas with the stones of ancient temples.

What most amazed me about Rome is that, despite all the awesome monuments, impressive churches and famous ruins, it's a place where people lives, and the live their life with a great intensity. One has no other choice than to do in Rome like the Romans does, that is, enjoying the food, the wine, the city and the people that surround you. It's quite an experience.

It sound dangerously close to the topic, but I just can´t get enough of Rome; the ambiance of the streets and piazzas, the fading colors of the buildings, all those countless delightful spots that the eternal city offers...

I invite you to see my Rome Intro photo. I think you wiil like it. I enjoyed yours & agree that Santa Maria is a very beautiful cathedral. We happened onto it by accident & stayed an hour or more enjoying the beauty inside.

Magnifico. And I shall travel to bella Roma in May - have a love for Italy since I was a child.... but then I like all things alive, chaotic, stimulating, historic.... :)
