"Frankfurt -- Sausages and Beer!" Frankfurt am Main by volarevolare

I took the flight on Qantas QF005 to Frankfurt from Singapore on 11 June at night.

Reached Frankfurt in the wee hours of the morning... at 5.30am to be precise.
It was a smooth 12 hour flight that was really pleasant as there the plane was not full and so, it was quiet and peaceful.

Important tip: Always check with the check-in counter if the flight is full. That will give you an idea of whether you can spread yourself out for a more comfortable long-haul flight.
Better still! You could also ask if an upgrade is possible! :)

A hot sunny day in Frankfurt!

This is a must-see as the buildings round the square are really pretty.

If you see the pre and post restoration work done on these buildings, you'd really appreciate how important it is to be able to conserve traditional buildings or for that matter, traditional skills.

This place was devastated during the WWII bombings, but today, they look as good as new!

Puss in Boots?

In between the old town square and the famous Church, there is a walkway connecting the 2, and you'd definitely pass by this handsome cat statue on the side.

He invites all passers-by into the shop -- this fascinating shop sells all things related to CATS! So all cat-lovers out there, you'd find trinkets and artwork and all kinds of stuff about cats...
