The Castle! - Hearst San Simeon State Historical Monument

Visit to the Hearst CAstle!

This is a must-stop along your trip down the Pacific Coastal Highway 1 from San Francisco to Los Angeles or the other way around.

We drove from SF towards LA and stayed over the night at San Simeon.

As we were on a pretty tight schedule, we arrived late into San Simeon and visited the castle early the next morning -- infact, it was the first tour of the day! :)

There isn't much to see or do around San Simeon, except for this visit to the legendary castle...
and rightly so...

Its presence dominates the place!

Pros and Cons

Pros:Gorgeous, Opulent, Astounding!
Cons:It's not mine...
In a nutshell:If I were a guest... I would be so lucky!
