Summer in Munich!

This picture was taken in Munich on my first day there -- a truly wonderful Sunday morning when the Marienplatz was just bursting with life and colour!

There was such a vibrant carnival atmosphere that was simply infectious -- everyone was intoxicated by the blue summer sky above, the lively folk music, the laughter and cheerful chatter of friends enjoying each other's company... it was such a lovely day!

I was so fortunate to arrive at the Marienplatz that day to be greeted by such cheer! :) I'd always remember that day!

Yah, of course the real deal is from the Black Forest, but small, kitschy cuckoo clocks that make nice souvenirs are indeed cheaper in Salzburg. ;)
