Restaurant Name: Chianti Restuarant
Italian's like to eat al fresco -- that means that they're willing to queue for a seat in the open, even if there are seats available inside the restaurant! hehehehe...
But I can understand why... Summer evenings are just too lovely to sit indoors.
This restaurant we went to on the last night of our stay was apparently popular. It's within walking distance of the Trevi Fountain.
We had an absolutely delicious dinner of beef steaks prepared superbly and of course! Red wine!
We chose this one -- Chianti Restaurant cos' the Chianti region produces one of the best wines and because they're supposed to be really good in preparing steak! :)
Favorite Dish: The steak was done just as I wanted it -- medium rare -- perfectly!
I remember how tender it was and how the other ingredients complimented the beef rather than overwhelmed it with their own flavours... :) yummy!
And of course, we had a beautiful bottle of red wine -- a Montepulciano.
Tip -- order bottles with the black cockerel tag round the neck of the bottle -- these signify that it's a good bottle.
But then again, most wines from Italy are delicious!
Between bottled water and red wine? Give me Wine!
