Piazza San Marco | In Venice with the San Marco behind me! |
You can't miss this at all...
In this rectangle of a piazza, you'd find the imposing and majestic Chiesa San Marco at one end, surrounded by the other buildings flanking each side of the square.
It's beautiful and you should spend some time admiring the facade that tells the story of the finding of St. Mark's body and how it was brought to Venice to be interred in this church.
Ladies, remember to cover your shoulders when you go in... it's the custom there to do so -- as in all other parts of Italy! :) |
