There's something rustic about Bangkok... and a little confused too. There are large upscale shopping centres and rundown old buildings, all meshed together and I think it's because Bangkok is in the process of becoming...
And there are so many Wats (Temples) everywhere, at every corner and turn. It's like there are so many churches in Rome...
The thing that strikes me most about Bangkok is that it is very enterprising and innovative -- the people are so creative and they find all sorts of means to make a living with their little eclectic stores selling brilliant ideas and nick nacks...
So taking a walk anywhere in Bangkok is quite an experience. |

mart8777 Wed Oct 26, 2005 09:37 UTC Thats funny about suparstitious sellers, its the same in Turkey. They wipe your money on the floor and and say "siftar". I at first thought it was being rude. | muddybok Sun Aug 8, 2004 18:29 UTC Cool Bangkok page. Hope to see more update soon. | jrs1234 Fri Jun 25, 2004 13:19 UTC Glad you liked Bangkok!
