    • The Magpie Restaurant, Whitby.
    This the best place to eat fish and chips in England, the queues at lunch time sometimes go for 100m so get there early. It won Eagon Roney restaurant of the year at least once in the 1990's. The fish comes straight from the fish market a few metres down the road early in the day and is just beautiful. The restaurant looks like your grandmothers dining room, the service is excellent and the prices are reasonable.

    Favorite Dish: Fish and Chips.
