Even in Europe I found a place to celebrate 4th of July!!!

Many thanks to JAFA-Rease for organizing this wonderful 3-days BBQ party which included fireworks! I had so much fun. Can't really remember when was the last time I enjoyed my vacation so much.
It was great to meet some VT newbies like "rmbtac" and "Highlander123 " too.

We started our BBQ marathon on Friday, July 2. Rease, Ryan, and Tabatha met me at the train station in Trier and we went to a very nice sushi restaurant there. Thabata didn't fancy raw fish (hmm only raw meat is good for her, I guess) but did enjoy some crab sushi and a chicken teryaki dish. What can I say, I am a sushi addict, so I really liked the idea.
From there we went to an Irish bar in Speicher. Well, maybe the bar is Irish but the Guiness they serve there is definitely mixed with water. So we had to relocate owrselves to another bar, this time in Spangdahlem.
On Saturday the 3rd, we had to get ready for the BBQ. Well everybody else did, I was busy picking strawberries and taking pictures. In other words, while everyone else was working hard I was busy with annoying them as much as I could.
Needless to say that we had enough beer and good mood!
Sunday wasn't different, except for the fireworks which we watched from the roof of the poor Volkswagen. So, Tab, your car is still in a good condition or you have to replace it?? ;-)
As I already said, this trip was lots of fun!

There were so many lessons I learned during this short vacation! First, I realized that the best way to explore a new place is to avoid big cities (which I love so much) and to enjoy these little villages which, surprisingly, have a lot to offer! Indeed Germany has the best landscapes!
But there were other lessons I've learned as well.

P.S. I also learned how to cut my steak!

Pros and Cons

Pros:The surroundings are amazing!!! Explore the area youself and you'll see what I mean!
Cons:Why it always rains there?????
In a nutshell:A perfect place to celebrate 4th of July!
