"The Rich Coast" Costa Rica by boltonian

Costa Rica was pretty much what I expected, plus a great deal more. It is like several locations in one. Just give yourself plenty of travel time as the roads are terrible.

San Jose - My first Latino City. Cheap beer, and a great nightclub complex. Plenty of places to eact, cheap taxi rides. But not really many sites to see.

Mid Region - Up into the hills to see a number of volcanoes. Cloud forest at Monteverde is a special place.

Carribean - Cahuita was an almost undiscovered paradise. Great food, very cheap, and what a beach.

• Cons:Litter in parts, terrible roads, torrential rain
• In a nutshell:3 countries in 1 - A must see
