Addis is a huge city with a large slum population.
Traffic and people clog the streets and poverty is visible everywhere you look.
Once you get into it, Addis has a lot to see and do. It has the feel of being a very safe city. Not once in 4 days did I feel threatened.
From Bole to the Piazza, the Merkato to the Museum, get out on foot and meet the great people of Addis. |

Sorry to be a bore - Lucy was not a homo sapien. She was a distant ancestor of homo sapiens from a species called, if I remember right, the Australopithecenes. She is the earliest homind, I think. |
