Omo Valley

Jinka is not an easy place to get to. There is an airfield, but it seems to be closed for now. Even if it is open, you might want to think twice if you are a nervous flyer as the air strip doubles as a football pitch, goat grazing fiend, and general village green.

If you don't fly, it is a long and hot trip over some terrible roads from Konso (6-8 hours).

Jinka is a small town. There are a few hotels and resteraunts, but little else. The real reason to come here is to access the Lower Omo Valley and visit the many tribes.
