It is one of the islands off the east coast of Malaysia, popular for snorkeling or scuba diving.
It is also one of those places where you just sit down and relax and do absolutely nothing.
Yeap, there is nothing much to do in this little island. Before the resort was built, there wasn't even any people living here. There's a couple of villages in the main island called Pulau Sibu Besar though.
But, nevertheless, we had quite a pleasant 3Days, 2 Nights stay in Sibu Island Resort.
The staff were friendly, if you could break the ice and start conversing with them first.
There's even a mini zoo where you could see chickens (but of course), goats (there's even several Cameroon goats here), peacocks, rabbits and mousedeer.
The snorkeling trip at Pulau Sibu Kukus was quite interesting for someone who have not done it before. But some people say Pulau Tioman has got better fishes and corals.
And of course, since breakfast and dinner was provided by the resort, food was not a problem for us, despite some negative feedbacks that I've read in VT. Yeap, this resort is the only place you could have your meals, unless you bring your own or barbeque your own fishes you've caught.

Fast Facts.

Pulau Sibu Tengah is only about 6km wide and 1 km long. It is reachable by boat from the Tanjong Leman Ferry Terminal. Pulau Sibu Tengah is part of the group of Sibu archipelago islands consisting of Pulau Sibu Besar, Pulau Sibu Kukus and Pulau Tinggi.

The room Hotels (2)

From the outside, looks like a typical Malay Kampung, but the inside is very much hotel like. The toilet is very small... more travel advice
