Nairobi, what a wonderful modern city. Lots to offer. The day and night life are just as fun as any other city that has much to offer. It boasts very modern facilities and an expanse of culture. When travelling there, groups or pairs are the safest ways to do it. Wearing inexpensive or just plain watches and clothing helps minimize your chances of being mugged. Avoid travelling in dark areas of the city and try to be where there are people. You will see police men patrolling the nights now and then. The Safari parks are a must see. Comparison shopping is the best way to do it. The Carnivore is a place for any meat lover. That can be capped with a dance at the adjacent Discotheque. Many if not all, of the hotels offer swimmimg pools accessible to the public. If you are a church goer, you might want to consider the Nairobi Baptist church off Ngong road by the Mortuary. They have a flaming youth service that begins at 8:30 in the morning. Run by the youth and youth pastor. A very friendly bunch. The nice areas to stay or live in are Lavington, Gigiri, Karen, Hurlingham, the State House area, Valley Road area and Mimosa court area, and Adam's Arcade area. |
