Germantown Favorite Tips by Thalor

Favorite thing: Start off by picking up some tourist information at the Upcounty Government Center in Germantown. It is on the corner of Middlebrook and route 118. Just a couple of blocks west of I-270's intersection with route 118.

It is not a 24 hour facility, so drop by during the day not super late at night.

The public library is in the same building, in case you want to do a little research while you are there getting your tourist maps and pamphlets and what not.

Fondest memory: Buying candy my first night in Germantown when I bought my house at the end of October a little over a decade ago. It made me feel like a real member of the community to give away candy to the kids who were trick-or-treating. It was the first time I had ever 'owned' the place I lived in, not just rented.
