Te Aroha Travel Guide: 17 reviews and 56 photos

The beginning of my life's journey

My Dad owned a dairy farm at the corner of Stanley and Waihekau Roads, Te Aroha West, about 8 km south of the town of Te Aroha. There I lived, with the cows, the dog, the horse and my family until 1961.

There's not really much to do there. Mt Te Aroha (953 metres), highest point of the Kaimai Ranges oversees the whole area. There's a TV transmitter at the peak with an access road, so you can drive up if you like, or walk if you want exercise!
