The Beach I wanted a place to get away from things and relax. Everyone recommended Qingdao. I chose quieter Yantai instead. Boy , am I glad I did. Clean air, crystal clear water, golden sand beaches. That is the Yantai that welcomed us. For information on this city there is an excellent site from Yantai http://www.yantai.gov.cn/en/abou t/index.jsp |
Hotel View I made our hotel reservation through Mr. Harrison Wang at sinohotelguide.com. The hotel was right on the beach and the rate of 580 RMB was cheaper than calling the hotel in China. Sino Guide has deals with hotels throughout China. It was easy to do on line and the Yantai Marina Hotel had the room I chose waiting. The full wall window gave a great view of the sea and beach. I could watch the lighthouse on Yantai Hill signaling at night. |
Signal Hill Here is the Lighthouse as seen from our hotel window through my zoom lens. The hill is what gives Yantai its name. |
