A small town of Nokia lies by the banks of Kokemäenjoki river only some 15 km west from Tampere. Population abt 28.000. Long time before Nokia mobile phones there were factories by the same name producing paper, carton, car tyres, rubber boots, chemicals and in fact no mobile phone has ever made in Nokia, though the town has given its name to the product we Finns are so proud of today! I lived in Nokia for 16 years, went to school there and started my working life. It is surprising how little the centre of the town has changed during the 30 something years I've been away!!!!
- In a nutshell:Pretty and quiet

The scenery around here looks nice, and the old mills and rapids provide some history of the place and its culture. NIce work
Lovely page on Nokia Sini. Also thanky you for visiting my Tangier pages. That was a fun trip and a cultural experience for us.
Thank you for coming to my Ireland page. I am glad to have you like it. I enjoyed your page, too. I understood Finnish old life, and it was studied. Is this time the season when that is splendid? Please enjoy summer! Thanks! MAIGO

That's an interesting small town with a famous name!
I like reading about lesser known but interesting places and I think this is a good example. Nokia sounds like a very pleasant town and a good place to grow up in.
