I have a friend who once said, "Springfield is like a giant suburb of nothing." That statement pretty much captures the experience of living in this Missouri town. It's one of the larger cities in Missouri (3rd, I think), and it has a fair amount of activities & attractions. Many of the local events remind one of Jeff Foxworthy jokes (Street Rods, anyone?), but we have a few other things to offer if you know where to look. eerrr, well, maybe not... let me think about that some more.
