Getting TO/AROUND: Either by train or plane, but not by car. Parking a car in Rome is difficult to find, expensive, dangerous, and not convenient. My first taxi ride ever was on this vacation in Rome. It was actually very easy and fun. The way they drive in Rome is like a roller coaster, it's an experience you won't want to miss. Just look for the orange rectangular taxi signs posted. I can tell you that there are taxi stands at the train station, near piazza navona, piazza del popolo, the spanish steps, argentina area, and the vatican like this one pictured here.
