Favorite Thing: Look around at all the different architecture. Rome has plenty to see, but don't get so busy that you miss the color and flavor of Rome. These buildings stood out to me because they look relatively new and are very brightly colored. They are located just north of the train station Termini near Santa Susanna & S. Maria D. Vittoria churches.
Fondest Memory: The smooth flavorful gelato!!!

Favorite Thing: Rome has hundreds of fountains and they aren't just a place to get a cool drink. So much variety and creativity went into these fountains, it's amazing to see them. Don't take them for granted. Take pictures of all them, it would be a good collection, I wish I would have done that.

Favorite Thing: Have a good map. This one was perfect. It's a spiral map of Rome. Small and convenient, and so easy to find anything in Rome without spending alot of time looking at it. That way you won't be a theives target for long. It is good to have a plan before leaving in the morning of where you would like to go for the day. Is time money?

Favorite Thing: I can't emphasize enough how important it is to have a good map. Keep it with you in a convenient place because you will probably be looking at it several times during the day. A map is also good to have just to give you an idea of how much you can see in a day and how long it should take from getting from place to place. I figure about 1 minute walking per 100 meters.
Fondest Memory: The weather was great!
