  • A nice little part of London which is not really known to most tourist. the area is very beautiful. You can have a little walk by the thames and stop in the nice little pubs near the river.
In a sunny days its wonderful and one of the pubs has tables out, under the sun ...

If you're arriving to London only to take a connection flight and uyou only have a few hours which is not enought to explore the center of the city then this is a grea option as its not veru far from the airport !

  • If you want to have some nice walk, shopping, enjoying some good cafe's and restaurants But escaping the crowds of oxford street or other crowded touristy places than thats the place for you !

Its a nice street with lots of nice Cafe's & Pubs, great shops though Very expensive.. probably much more then the shops (or most of) in oxford stree.

If you'll walk along Maryelbone highstreet down towards Oxford street, you'll arrive to James Street where you'll find a nice little square with nice restaurants (Italian, Spanish, turkish etc'..). Worth visiting.

Get off at Baker St. Tube station (Circle Line, Metropolitan Line Hammersmith & city Line) and walk down at Baker st. from there just ask, its near by but i don't remember the name of the street where you have to turn left towards Marylebone highstreet.

Off The Beaten Path: Little India...
  • Tip Rating:
  • The biggest Indian Temple in Europe !
Take the Jubille line to Neasden and there follow the signs till you'll get to this amazing temple that was built there ...yes in the middle of London unbelievable.
Go inside and (pay 2£) for the temple exhibit and after that visit the temple it self, make sure you are there on time when they show the goddes and parying there. its very very special and amazing to see all of that and knowing you are actually in London.

This Temple was built by a tons of sand and marble that was sent from Bulgaria and Italy to India and their it was Curved and built and was resent to London ! In London it took 3 years to build it and its really a beautiful one !

Off The Beaten Path: Of the beaten Path ?? i think so
  • Tip Rating:
  • Neal's Yard located in a very central area near Coven Garden but then its hidden between the streets.
Its a very small Yard which sorounded in a colorful small buildings and lots of flowers.
You can go in and find a few nice Cafe's and chees store etc'.
I've been 7 month there and found it only 2 weeks before i've left. (Thx. Phil)

I dont remember the name of the exact street but when you get off the Covent Garden Tub station just cross the road and keep Streight in a street with lots of shops (loads of shoe stors..lol) and the somewhere you got a turn left i think, just ask there the locals.

Great tips. In 7 months you learnt more about London than I have in 5 years. Thanks for the motivation to get out and about... especially now that the summer is here

Hi, Sharon, London is my favorite city, as well! Your pic from the bridge in St James's Park is probably my fave view in London: the Horseguards Hotel spires.
