Things To Do: Hampstead
  • Tip Rating:
  • Hampstead is one of the most beautiful neighborhoods of London. its located in North London (via the northern Line) and only about 20 min' from Leicester Sq.
Its one of the riches if not The riches neighborhoods ! Many actres / philosophers, pop stars and other celebrities Live there.
Walk in this neighborhood and feel its little alleys, the beautiful beautiful houses. the quiet everywhere is just wonderful.
One more thing that Hapmstead is well known for is its Pubs which are very old and good (see all bout it in my Hampstead page).
If you want to escape the crowds and regular stuff in Middle London go and see Hampstead, take your time and walk between its streets, stop in the pubs and get your self a pint... There's no way you wont like this place !

I loved walking there, looking at the houses, at the history which you can tell by the way of the building etc'.
One of the best Pubs or even maybe the best Pub in this area is the Grenadeir Pub, which is hidden in one of the smallest and quiet streets of this neighborhood. It tooks us sometime to find it but it was worth it, you'll understand when you'll see it...

  • by Sharon

  • Dont Miss that, and try to make it on a nice sunny Sunday !!

This Market is one of the nicest markets of London though if you're not a local i assume you wont need all the flowers and other stuff for the garden but then it's so vivid and nice, that it is defenetly worth a visit.
But....Columbia Road isn't only about the market but the area is very cool, many nice cafe's and restaurnats, if you go up the street a bit after the market you'll arrive to a some nice tapas bar, stop there for a break its a lovely one.
Also around the market there are 1 or 2 little streets on the left side where you'll see some cafe's and some cool places that makes bagels and other stuff, some antique and wood craft shops.
I warmly recommend on a visit in the market and the surrounding area.

Theatres and Opera: Mamma Mia or The Rat Pack ?
  • Tip Rating:
  • London Theatres and Opera
  • From the Rat Pack
  • by Sharon
  • Send Photo to a Friend
  • London Theater, Dont miss that, its a very nice experience.
London is very rich with theaters and music concerts.
Most of the best theaters are located in the center of London and its very easy to find and buy tickets.
You can find cheap tickets being sold in Leicester Square and sometimes you get 50% for the best shows !
For updated information about London's night life, culture etc' buy the London Time Out Magazin when you arrive and you can find there everything you need !!

Personally i recommend you of the Rat Pack Musical, i loved it and have seen it twice, but okay thats only for those who like the 60's music and the naughty trio of Sinatra,Dean Martin and S. Davis Jounior.
If you like them then dont miss it ..it will only be available till end of May 03 ! after that i think its still on in the US.
