What havn't been said yet about Petra ? this most beautiful, breathtaking, interesting misteriouse red city....
Im probably not going to add here any significant detail that will change any history book, There are planty of websites that tells this city's storie, and its definitely interesting so its most recommended to read about it.
In this page i'll try to share of my experience and to help others that plan a trip to Petra, when i looked for some info before my trip, i saw many questions that kept repeating in the forum so i hope to add my 2 cents and help others.
One thing i have to say is, I think its the first time i've returned from a trip and felt so strongly that none of my photos reflects the real beauty of what I've seen.
I know we always say it about places we've Just returned from and liked but i think this place is just so different from any city or vilage or any spa we've photographed... Unless one see it in reality its impossible to realize the real colores of the rocks and the ruins and its impossible to understand how beautiful and breathtaking this place is.
It was already when i walked there that i knew there's no use to alll photographs im taking, it was way to "BIG" to be transfered / reflected in any photo... and this feeling is something i haven't felt in any of my last trips during the last few years.

I'm laughing to remember how David and I were pretty much by ourselves here (my 2nd visit) and how we lingered until the sun set...the park had a different even MORE mysterious personality in the dark! (not to mention we were so hungry!) | Nathalie_B Sat Apr 21, 2007 14:34 UTC
