Chaos in the land of smiles....

I think that Bangkok is a city which you either love or hate, I loved it. Many people doent because its a crowded and very poluted one, sometimes its not easy to breath there... but i didnt find it so bad.

Its a great city which combines very modern buildings and shops aside the traditional small houses and pagodas.

There's so much to do there, visiting the tempels, boating in the canals, shop shop shop (till your legs will say no more) in the markets and stores, eating none stop, night clubs and then relaxing with some good massage.

i would definitly go back there, not sure yet when but i will.

Pros and Cons

Pros:Great places to see, great food, great people
Cons:The combination of Pollution, dast & Heat makes it hard sometimes
In a nutshell:But dont miss it !

Hi I have spent many weeks in Bangkok, and totally agree with you, it is hot,polluted, and a concrete jungle, but I love it, it is vibrant ,lively 24 hrs a day, and a great place, enjoyed reading ur pages!

We agree in Sukhumvit and Cabbages&Condoms... and KSR is definetly not the place for me to sleep either, LOL Nice memories... :-)

I feel mildly guilty that I still haven't been to one of the floating markets after several visits to BKK. It amazes me too how people bathe and wash dishes etc in the river. You see things in SEA that you don't see anywhere else - I love it!

The Palace is quite beautiful. A shame the air is so bad in Downtown. Still a must see !!!
