  • Luggage And Bags: Paris is one place I prefer my backpack convertible bag (Campmor Essential Carry-On) to my wheeled bag (Rick Steves Wheeled Bag), because of the stairs! Each time we've visited Paris, we have been in a hotel with a small lift--not large enough to accomodate a large group and oversized luggage. Taking my own bag to the third floor, I would have preferred not to have to lug my heavy wheels. My canvas bag would have been a much better choice. If you are staying at the Ritz, I suppose this is not an issue. For those of us, enjoying a two or three-star hotel, however, packing light is the thing to do for Paris!

black pepper, orange blossom, jasmine, rose petal, pistachio, caramel with fine sea salt, etc. Wow - we tried the same macarons in February! I tried Violette, too. My faves now are the rose & the caramel au sel - divine.
