"Osaka/ Kyoto/ Shiga 1996" a Japan Travel Page by erin79

I visited Japan in 1996 with a group of exchange students. We landed in Osaka and then traveled north to Shiga Prefecture. I spent almost three weeks with the nicest host family one could ever wish for. The neighbourhood children would stop by on their way to school to say good morning to me. I found myself playing charades all day long (because my Japanese was not the greatest), but it was a fabulous experience that I will remember for the rest of my life. I made many great friends while I was there and fell in love with Japanese culture!
