| Gjogv, a must see village for it's beauty |
My mother was born and raised in the beautiful Faroe Islands. Unfortunately, I have never lived there, but I have spent many summers there growing up. It is an amazing place filled with wonderful foods, fantastic scenery, and rich culture. |
| A habor in the Faroe Islands |
| | Fishing is a big industry in the Faroe Islands, and boats a big part of life. Like many of the other photos I have from the Faroes, you may notice a very overcast sky. It's not very unusual for the weather to be overcast, dreary, and drizzly. But that's what makes it so lucious and green! |
Though not a very typical view in the Faroe Islands, it is a colorful one. The style here is a bit more Danish than Faroese, but I love it. This is a harbor in the capital of Trshavn. Behind the strip of stores is the town church. | | |

| Pros: | "Food, people, culture, fun. So much to do and see for such a small place." | | Cons: | "A lot of tourist activties depend completely on unpredictable weather, and flights in and out are notoriously turbulent." | | In A Nutshell: | "A modern country with strong ties to the past" |
