The capital of the prefecture of Argolida

The town took its name by Nafplios, who was a son of Poseidon. Nafplio has many neo-classical buildings, a charming old town, Palamidi -a nice castle on the top of a hill, which crowns Nafplio- nice beaches around, interesting nightlife...

The town is 145 km SW of Athens, 12 km far from the biggest city of the prefecture, Argos.

small island bourtzi can be seen from nearly all the city,...it's one of the nafplio's pictures i keep in memory...tks for good sunny memories!

Bright sun, brilliant blue waters. looks very nice.
