PADOVA or PADUA
is situated twelve metres above sea level in the lower Venetian plain between the Brenta and the Bacchiglione rivers, about twenty kilometres from the lagoon of Venice.
This city is one of the cultural and economic centers in the Northeast of Italy. Padua is a pilgrimage city, millions of pilgrims come here every year to visit the 'Basilica di Sant’Antonio', where the grave of 'Sant’Antonio' is preserved. The other reason to visit this city is Giotto.

Enjoyed visiting mapakettle's Padova pages the other day & have enjoyed visiting yours today. Think I'll have to add it to my long list of places to see in la bella Italia.
