Hurghada, known in Egypt as Ghardaga, was at one time just a simple fishing village.
But now, with it's crystal clear water and his untouched reefs is it one of the best Egyptian tourist destinations.
Hurghada lies on the Red Sea coast and became a popular resort
There are many coral reefs of Hurghada's coast that provide excellent snorkeling and scuba diving possibilities. There are also good beaches
You can visit Giftun Island off the coast for a good diving location
Round the Red Sea are rocky mountains and ofcourse the desert
Its name is comes from the color change of the water, which turns red when algae dies; normally it is blue green.
On the Red Sea there are few harbors.
