"Trier" Trier by HAROLD_PR

I have been living in Trier for about 1 1/2 years. I moved so many times in my life that home is where I have been for long enough. Trier can be home for me.
The city is located in the state of Rhineland Pfaltz, near the border with Luxemburg. As many cities, Trier was founded near a river, and this river is the Mosel.

The city's population is about 99,000 people. Too big of a small town, too small of a big city. The essence of this city is described in one word: history.

Trier is very old. The historians claim that Trier is one of the oldest cities in Europe. The city also played an important role in Roman history. As a stronghold of the empire in Rhineland, hundreds of years ago, today it is easy to find ruins from that period.

Trier is a different city, with a different character. Attracting tourists all year round, the city is a unique mix of traditional german folk in the Eifel area, with strong French influence that gives it such a great personality. Even the German accent from this relatively small area of Germany is considered quite distinctive
