If you come to Ithaca, you either know someone at Ithaca College or at Cornell University. This town draws its energy and liveliness from the above two universities, so you certainly will see quite a few students both in the downtown area and Ithaca's surroundings.
Many good restaurants, great outdoor activity resources, not such a great nightlife, but OK cultural activities, and of course, excellent wine (go on a wine tasting tour while you are here!)
