"Chigniks" Chignik by LizSitka
Chignik Travel Guide: 16 reviews and 25 photos
There are actually three 'Chigniks' - one is incorporated as a city and is known as both 'Chignik Bay' and just 'Chignik.' This is where the ferry stops each month April-October. The other two are villages: Chignik Lake and Chignik Lagoon. The Chignik area is towards the bottom of the Alaska Peninsula where the mountains start and the area is beautiful. This is 4/15/04, the first trip of the season for the Tustemena (trusty Tusty to its friends) to go from Kodiak down the chain to Dutch Harbor.
