It's amazing to drive around the area and see parts of history I've been reading about for decades. We drove by the Pentagon and saw the construction cranes rebuilding the 9/11 damage. The Kennedy Memmorial and Arlington Cemetary are on the other side of the road. The buildings, battle grounds, museums, statues are all around here. Lots to absorb for a gal from small-town Alaska.
