Kauai is: rural, historic, beautiful, laid back, and most of all, beautiful. Kauai is what Hawaii is all about! Skip the Waikiki Beach temptation and fly on to the oldest of the chain's islands. You picture beautiful jungle, rugged canyons, sparkling beaches, and great restaurants? Go no further! Poipu on the south coast is best to stay at. But the island's so small, you can easily access all of it.

Most folks absolutely fall in love with the island and return often. Some just move there!
