Yep, I was lucky enough to grow up in San Juan Capistrano. Before all of the housing was built in the foothills, before there was a Starbucks, when there was still the old drive-in. I even got married at the Mission. And yes, the swallows DO come back every year to the Mission and the surrounding area. We always had a few nests on our house every year.
