I spent three and a half days in Beijing in January.
You shouldn't spend a minute less than that.
I managed to see, in order of my preference:
- The Summer Palace - The Lama Temple - The Hutong - Bei Hai Park and the Lakes - The Forbidden City - The Great Wall at Mutianyu - The Temple of Heaven
I did some shopping at Liulichang and Dazhalan.
And I went to the Opera too. |
| | A great book to discover Beijing by I recommend reading Rickshaw by Lao She to enjoy Beijing even more. A deep and probing look inside the soul of an unarticulate man, this is a very special novel. |
