Szczawnica is placed in Pieniny Mountains and on the border of Beskid Sadecki Mountains, in the valley of the Grajcarek river.
It is one of the oldest spa resorts in the Carpathian group. The word "szczawa" means acidic water and the properties of its mineral waters have been well-known for ages.

Very interesting area. How did that Inka's testament ended up in Niedzica Castle? I bet ghosts had their deal in it :) Nice page.

Those 140 steps wouldn't bother me but I'm sure alot of people wouldn't like it. Are there really ghosts?? The Castles love very nice! Great page Ania!!
