LAGO DI GARDA(LAKE OF GARDA)
After work on a clear Sunday morning, we start from Treviso. A bright sun of May was shining over Lombardy. The cities, Mestre, Padova, Vecenza, and Verona pasted backward one by one. Then the destination was in our view.
Lake of Garda is one of the biggest lakes in Italy. She has a long and narrow shape. The south is wider and a beautiful peninsula is here. We took a yacht and cruise on the lake. For a short time sailing towards north we come into a dim gorge. The mountain approach from both side and made us feeling much depressed.
There is a giant castle stands on the east shore of the peninsula. Our Italian friend told us that the castle was built for protecting the north aggressor in history. Today it becomes the most important tour center of the Lake of Garda.
