Krakow: Unesco Heritage

by ger4444 - last update: Apr 30, 2002

When we arrived at Krakow Glowny, the first thing we did was checking out the old city. It was AMAZING!!! The whole old city is, let's say, provided with firsthand touristic information on each corner of a street. You probably won't need a tourist guide: you can easily follow all the signs and information points in the city, to get your way along all the main sites!
But take your time: there's lots to see in this beautifull town. F.e: you can't leave Krakow without having seen the Wawel. The good thing is, you can do it all on foot.
There's a good and cheap camping outside the city, it's about 20 minutes by streetcar. Ask the Tourist office for specific details.
Nightlife is pretty good. We mostly first hang around on the old townsquare, meeting local youth, and than started our tour in nighlife by visiting those cosy cellarbars in the old town. Much fun!
See now for some more specific info under the several categories.
