  • the street is mainly known as a fashionable shopping street, where the wifes of Churchhils and the Persian Shah used to shop. Originally a street where to find the famous rotan-shops (selling chairs , tables, baskets by the Cesterias) now its called calle della moda with many society shops.

  • at this plaza you find shops, offices, appartmentbuildings. one of the typical pubs is Bodega de Angel Sierra, dating from 1897. it has tiles in andulusian style depicting advertisemnts for beer and vermouth. the neighboorhood around the place is also called Chueca. its a total labyrinth of streets and its the ultimate place for Madrilinian nightlife. Even if yiour not gay (its called a gay district) its worth visiting the numerous pubs, disco's and restaurants.

  • this neighboorhood is build in chessboard pattern streets. the lower-upperclass lives here. we only find appartment blocks of 6 floors and the street is filled with people in fanzy clothes. we find the best shops and restaurants. you might find yourself sitting next to Cruz in a restaurant.

  • Probably one of the most railway stations you find in Spain. It has glass and iron and a beautifull garden inside with palmtrees. next to this old building you ll find the modern one, used for the AVE train.
