...Orlando is packed full of just about anything you want to do. We flew into MCO, (Orlando Int'l Airport), on 6 August, and barely stopped to take a breather before we ended our 15 day vacation on the 21st. After our cruise ended on the 15th, two days after Hurricane Charley swept through Central Florida, we were back in Orlando. Luckily we had made hotel reservations well in advance, because they were all packed. There wasn't a bag of ice to be found anywhere, and the Orlando streets were a mixture of knocked down trees, broken traffic lights and road signs. We started, and ended our Vacation in Orlando, but for all the info on what we did you'll have to see my other pages on Cape Canaveral, Cocoa Beach, St. John, St. Thomas, St. Maarten, and Tampa when I get them updated.
I just liked this picture of Mickey, and even though Disney is waaaay too in your face in Orlando, he's practically a national symbol, and I thought nice to see him in patriotic mode.

Pros and Cons
  • Pros:Best place to sample just about everything the U.S. has to offer
  • Cons:Attractions are much too crowded
