What can I say about San Francisco that hasn't been said already? Not much, but I love this city. It has a special place in my heart, and with good reason. SF is unlike any other place I've been to. There is more to do here than you can possibly imagine. Everything from Golden Gate Park, The Japanese Tea Gardens, aquarium, zoo, China Town, Fisherman's Wharf, Alcatraz (must see), Golden Gate Bridge, Ghiradelli Square, TransAmerica building and business district, Cable cars, Lumbard Street, the beach, Haight and Ashbury district and the whole Hippie 60's think, The Mission area, Candlestick park etc.... the list goes on and on.
I lived in the Bay area for years and have been to SF Several times. I actually lived here when they built BART (the Subway) and put a tube under the Bay. It was a pretty big deal for Bay Area people back then.
The weather here is unpredictable, but it's been said by Mark Twain that his coldest winter was a summer in San Francisco. It is cold here, windy and damp, but it can also be very nice. The Fog can be incredible on the Bay.
It will take me a long time to make this page one that I'd be proud of, but I'll continually think of things and work on it to help you. Please email me with specific SF questions, and I'll try to give you a good answer. I've been to quite a bit of the city. It's been some years, but I can tell you thumbs up or down for sure.
