A day with nothing to do... ...why not visit Trier. It's only 50km from Baumholder, and well worth the time to drive so Mariangela and I decided to go here. She was supposed to be in Naples today, but her flight was cancelled so I proposed a trip to Trier. We'd been wanting to visit for a while, so what better time than the present.
The Porta Negra is a Roman relic, and Trier's claim to fame, but there is so much more to see here. |
|  | Taking a walk on a sunny day Thank God it was sunny, but the temperature was below freezing, and the wind made it worse. We saw the sights we wanted to see, and then decided to go back home; saving more for the spring or summer. It's very close to us, so another trip wll be easy anyday. |
