Vicenza is a small city, but... | Basilica Palladiana - Vicenza, Italy |
full of real Italian charm. It's now a widely know place in Italy for tourists, but a lot of fun is to be had here.
I lived here for about two years while being assigned to US Army Southern European Task Force from 2000-2002. There is some real history here, and some nice places to visit, but one would probably want to spend only a day or two here as a tourist.

|  | Palladio Rules in Vicenza Every building that is famous here seems to have been designed by the famous Italian architect (1508-1580). He lived most of his life in Vicenza, and is buried in one of the cathedrals on Corso Palladio. |
